The Guidelines

The government guidelines state that tradespeople can continue to work, including plumbers. Where it is necessary to undertake essential work in people’s homes, it is permitted to do so as long as safety measures are adhered to. Social distancing should be followed, keeping a two metre distance at all times and avoiding face to face communication where possible, especially around vulnerable residents. If either the tradesperson or resident is showing symptoms, has tested positive for the virus or is self-isolating, then the planned work is not allowed to be carried out.
